Agreement

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Block Candles. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Block Candles is provided for personal, non-commercial charting and watchlist use unless we agree otherwise in writing. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of Block Candles, our software, or the market data we display.

The service

Block Candles provides cryptocurrency charting, watchlists, and live market prices sourced from public exchange feeds. Features may change, be added, or be withdrawn at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific latency, or coverage of any particular instrument or exchange.

Block Candles is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans or usage tiers in the future. If we do, we will provide reasonable notice before any fee applies to your existing use.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By using Block Candles you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are not barred from using the service under applicable law.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Block Candles complies with laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including any restrictions on accessing or trading digital assets.

Accounts

You may use many chart and watchlist features without an account. When you register, you must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

• Do not share your password or authentication devices with others.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• We may require email verification, two-factor authentication, or invitation codes to protect the service and its users.
• We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that violate these terms or pose a security or abuse risk.

Acceptable use

You must use Block Candles lawfully and in a way that does not harm the service, other users, or third parties. Without limiting the general rule, you must not:

• Attempt to disrupt, degrade, or overload Block Candles or its infrastructure, including denial-of-service (DoS), distributed denial-of-service (DDoS), or similar attacks.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without our prior written consent.
• Circumvent access controls, rate limits, connection limits, authentication, or other technical measures we use to protect the service.
• Scrape, harvest, bulk-download, mirror, or systematically copy market data, API responses, or page content except through interfaces and volumes we expressly permit for normal personal use in the product.
• Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or republish Block Candles data, charts, or feeds to third parties without our written permission.
• Use automated tools (bots, crawlers, scripts, or headless clients) to access the service in a way that imposes unreasonable load or bypasses product behaviour.
• Impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or create accounts through false or misleading information.
• Upload or transmit malware, spam, or content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringing.
• Use Block Candles to facilitate market manipulation, wash trading, or other deceptive market practices.

We monitor for abuse patterns and may block IP addresses, throttle traffic, terminate sessions, or take legal action where appropriate. Abuse investigations may use technical logs described in our privacy policy.

API & live data limits

Block Candles exposes REST endpoints and a WebSocket stream for market data. To keep the service fast and affordable for everyone, we enforce technical limits that may change without notice. Current protections include, without limitation:

• Per-IP request rate limits on gateway REST and upgrade traffic.
• Concurrent WebSocket connection limits — up to six simultaneous live streams per client network. Opening more may be rejected to control bandwidth and fan-out cost.
• Per-connection ticker limits — up to 512 instruments may be subscribed on one live stream (watchlist tickers, open chart symbols, and related live channels combined).
• Per-request size limits on candle history, ticker batches, and client message frames.
• Idle timeouts that close live connections that stop responding.
• Authentication rate limits and lockouts on sign-in and registration endpoints.

Exceeding these limits may result in HTTP 429 responses, WebSocket rejection, temporary blocks, or permanent suspension for repeated or deliberate abuse. Fair personal use across a few browser tabs or devices on the same network is expected; operating a data feed, monitoring farm, or resale service is not.

Intellectual property

Block Candles's name, branding, software, user interface, and original content are owned by Block Candles or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the service for personal use in accordance with these terms.

Market prices and exchange-sourced data remain subject to the rights of the relevant exchanges and data providers. Block Candles does not claim ownership of underlying market data. You must not remove attribution, watermarks, or copyright notices where we display them.

Market data & investment disclaimer

Prices, charts, and statistics shown on Block Candles are for general information only. They may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. Block Candles does not execute trades and does not provide brokerage, custody, or payment services.

Nothing on Block Candles constitutes investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Digital assets are volatile and you may lose some or all of your capital. Always do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, pose a security risk, or if continued provision would harm Block Candles or other users.

You may stop using Block Candles at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including acceptable use, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity — will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

Block Candles is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of data, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Third-party sign-in providers, exchanges, and infrastructure providers are outside our direct control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Block Candles and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or trading losses, arising from or related to your use of Block Candles.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (GBP 100), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Block Candles and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms when our practices, features, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may also provide notice in the product or by email. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the service, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
